Special Exhibitions Gallery
This building is a replica of a Revolutionary War fort originally located in New Windsor, New York. The original known as “The Temple” was where George Washington’s army spent the last winter of the Revolutionary War in 1783 and where Washington awarded the first three Purple Heart military decorations.
This Gallery will host special traveling exhibitions at Heritage Museums & Gardens. For the 2012 season, we are thrilled to be hosting Norman Rockwell: Beyond the Easel which will be open to the public May 5 – September 3, 2012. This exhibition comes to us courtesy of the Norman Rockwell Museum. It is supported by Presenting Sponsor Arbella Insurance Group Charitable Foundation and by Prime Sponsor Bank of America.
