Field Trips
The diversity of the Heritage collections guarantees that there is something to engage every student, regardless of individual learning style. Heritage’s welcoming environment and accessible programs ensure an enjoyable museum experience tied to their school curriculum.
Self-Guided Tours: All Levels
Groups are welcome to visit on their own without a museum guide. Pre- and post-visit materials are provided to enhance your visit. Self-guided groups must schedule their field trip in advance. A visit length of two hours is suggested.
Guided Tours: Grades Pre-K–5
Tour guides lead groups in an exploration of the museum’s collections and grounds, focusing on a particular theme, such as transportation, animals, or environmental issues. These 90-minute experiences include hands-on activities with authentic objects and active participation by students tailored to the age level of the group.
