Heritage Museums & Gardens Hires New Director of Marketing
December 2011 – Heritage Museums & Gardens, a display garden with galleries showcasing exhibits that capture the American spirit, is pleased to announce the addition of Ashleigh Slyker as Director of Marketing.
Ms. Slyker joins the staff at Heritage Museums & Gardens from her previous position as Director of Marketing at the Tampa Bay History Center in Tampa, Florida. A graduate of the University of South Florida, Slyker also spent two years as the Director of Marketing & Communication at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that position, she was a partner in a full-service marketing firm that planned and executed integrated marketing campaigns for a variety of industries including tourism, non-profit organizations, financial and economic development.
Ms. Slyker will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing all marketing efforts including advertising and public relations as well directing the long-term marketing strategy for the Museum. Reporting directly to Heritage Museums & Gardens Executive Director, Ellen Spear, Slyker will also have oversight of the Museum’s web presence including all social media platforms. In addition, she will oversee all group sales efforts.

We are delighted that she will be promoting and marketing Heritage,” added Spear.
Heritage Museums & Gardens is also welcoming aboard Jan Crocker as new Exhibits Manager, and Denise Giblin as Group Sales Manager.
Ms. Crocker is a recognized leader who has helped to develop outstanding exhibitions for museums the world over. Crocker comes to Heritage with experience gained at the Museum of Science in Boston, and consulting for the Children’s Museum of Boston, and Gore Place in Waltham, MA among other leading cultural institutions.
Ms. Giblin joins Heritage from the Handel & Haydn Society in Boston, MA. She also has previous experience in membership development and Group Sales with Boston Sports Clubs, Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre in Woonsocket, RI, as well as Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, RI.
