1950—A time when The Lone Ranger thundered into family living rooms on black-and-white TVs, when Red Foley’s “Chattanoogie Shoe Shine Boy” played on the AM radio, and when a loaf of bread cost 14 cents and 20 cents bought a gallon of gas.
Step back in time with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride in Heritage’s 1950 Ford Custom! This cherished classic shows off plenty of chrome and a stylized grille. You’ll experience what Ford advertised in 1950: that the car was a much improved version of the 1949 Ford, with a slogan that boasted, “50 Ways New…50 Ways Finer…The ’50 Ford!”
Learn from Heritage’s auto expert what made this car such a classic, enjoy an amazing ride along the paved paths that wind through Heritage’s 100 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds—and be sure to take plenty of pictures!
