School & Youth Group Visits

We are currently offering booking opportunities for the 2024 Season!

Visit Heritage for memorable experiences and a wide variety of learning opportunities. A day of interdisciplinary fun is in store as your group engages with science, history, art, and more as they explore Heritage’s exhibits, outdoor spaces, and garden features. Experience Heritage your way – either on your own, or with a guide who will lead your group for 90 minutes to help you maximize your time and fun!

The Adventure Park at Heritage and Heritage Museums & Gardens are currently booking school group opportunities. A climb and self-guide visit combo is also avilable. To book a climb or a climb and tour combo please click here.

Self-Guided Visit

Groups are welcome to visit on their own without a guide.

Materials are provided to enhance your visit, including information to help you to prepare for your visit and know what to expect, and information and suggested activities to complete during your visit. A visit length of two hours is suggested.

Groups must be scheduled a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

 

Guided Tours

This interactive 90-minute tour led by Heritage’s professionally-trained guides makes it easy to find your way through all that Heritage has to offer. Tailored to the age level of your group, each experience includes a 20 minute hands-on activity connected to educational standards, a ride on the 1908 carousel, and more!

A visit length of three hours is suggested to include lunch, time in Hidden Hollow, and some self-guided exploration after your tour.

Please note: Time in Hidden Hollow is NOT included during the 90-minute guided tour.

Guided Tours must be booked three weeks in advance.

Reservations & Fees

Groups of ten or more are eligible for group rates.

Self-Guided Visit: $7 per student, Guided Tour: $12 per student.

One chaperone admitted free of charge per every ten students. One-to-one aides are admitted free of charge.

$17 for each additional adult

Parking and Access

When you arrive at Heritage, you will be greeted at your bus by a Heritage staff member who will help you through the admission and payment process. We ask that students remain on the bus until staff provides additional instructions for beginning your visit.

All buildings are accessible. Please contact studentgroups@heritagemuseums.org or 508.888.3300 ext. 112 to discuss any special needs your group may have.

Group Lunch Options

Heritage has an outdoor picnic facility in an uncovered area adjacent to Lilly’s Café that is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups are allowed to picnic anywhere on the grounds. Lunch storage, located at the outdoor picnic facility, will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis for groups.

Indoor facilities are available for lunches with prior reservation at an additional fee. Contact the Group Sales Manager at groupsales@heritagemuseums.org or 508.888.3300 x 127 for more information.
