Accessibility for All Visitors
- Heritage strives to be accessible to visitors of all ages and abilities.
- We welcome legally registered service animals. For service animal guidelines in Massachusetts, please click here.
- For those with mobility issues, our main path is paved with moderate hills. A few areas are steeply graded and we have many shell and wood chipped paths that may be manageable with an able-bodied assistant or are located near an ADA transport stop.
- Complimentary transportation for visitors with mobility challenges and can be accessed at seven fixed stops throughout the grounds at benches marked with the International Symbol of Access. Transport makes continuous loops approximately every 20 minutes.
- Wheelchairs are available for visitors at the ticket booth. Wheelchairs will be cleaned between each use.
- Restrooms and the café are wheelchair accessible. We have outdoor and indoor accessible water fountains on the grounds and in gallery spaces.
- There are spaces reserved for handicapped parking, which are clearly marked.
- Please add any suggestions for increasing our accessibility to all visitors by emailing us at info@heritagemuseums.org
