Retail Associate
This seasonal, up to 32 hours per week, part-time position focuses on providing high-quality customer service and sales at The Shop at Heritage. Successful candidates will enjoy working with customers, feel comfortable with point of sales technology, and create appropriate sales displays. Requirements include excellent people skills and commitment to teamwork. Customer service or retail background preferred. Weekend and some evening availability required.

Visitor Experience Functions Lead
This seasonal, up to 30 hours per week, part-time year-round position focuses on providing evening and weekend function and program support for the museum by providing an exceptional guest experience during special events. Responsibilities include providing high quality memorable experiences for all visitors, supporting admission staff in group booking and management, and representing the visitor experience operations during regular business hours and during after-hours events. Requirements include a background in event management or related experience, excellent people skills, and a commitment to teamwork. Museum knowledge of functions and customer service experience preferred. Weekend and evening availability required.

Education Specialist - Interpreter
This seasonal, up to 32 hours per week, part-time position focuses on providing memorable guest experiences, encouraging visitor interactions and facilitating learning through exploration. Responsibilities include leading guided tours for school and adult groups, engaging with children and families in Hidden Hollow, Heritage’s outdoor discovery area, and interpreting the newly developed model train garden space. Successful candidates will love teaching, learning, and working with people of all ages. Requirements include a background in education or related experience, excellent people skills, and a commitment to teamwork. Museum or informal education and customer service experience preferred. Indigenous Interpreter
We are searching for energetic, outgoing, museum-loving members of Indigenous communities to join our Visitor Experience staff. This seasonal, up to 32 hours per week, part-time position focuses on providing high-quality, memorable visitor experiences centered around fostering public understanding of the history and culture of the Wampanoag people. Successful candidates will love working with people of all ages and will enjoy sharing information and making connections between visitors and Heritage’s reproduction Wampanoag wetu, mush8n, and Three Sisters Garden outdoor exhibits. Requirements include excellent people skills and commitment to teamwork. Museum or customer service background and previous knowledge of Wampanoag history preferred. Saturdays and some evening availability required.

Internships
Rhododendron Internship
Heritage Museums & Gardens in historic Sandwich, MA on Cape Cod is offering the Dexter Rhododendron Intern position. This internship will offer the opportunity to improve horticultural knowledge, skills, and aspects of maintaining a curated plant collection. Horticultural Internship
Heritage Museums & Gardens in historic Sandwich, MA on Cape Cod offers horticulture internships for the summer season. Our internships offer students the opportunity to improve their horticultural knowledge and skills by learning all aspects of maintaining a public garden. Interns work directly with horticulture staff and are trained in a variety of skills including planting, pruning, identification, and irrigation.
