MEMBER BENEFITS EXPLAINED

Admit 2, 4, and 6 refers to the number of people (children or adults) allowed into Heritage each day you visit during the regular season, mid-April through mid-October. An adult card-holder needs to be present on every visit, but the guests can change each time. Have kids with you on one visit and friends with you on another! Children 2 and under are always free and are not included in this number.

On most days during the regular season members do not need to reserve tickets in advance and can simply show up.

All members receive a digital membership card accessed via a link sent to their emails. These cards are easy to use and will always be in your pocket. When you visit, simply bring up your card on your phone and check in at the ticket office. Didn’t download the membership card yet or prefer not to go digital? You can always use your photo ID.

Prefer not to go digital? No problem! The only thing we require for entry is any personal ID (like your license). Simply present your ID when you visit. And if you want to use your member benefits elsewhere, email us at membership@heritagemuseums.org and we’ll be happy to help.

Didn’t receive your digital cards? Fill out this form to request they be resent.

By showing your active membership card with the reciprocal program’s icon on there to the admissions staff you will gain free admission to a participating organization. Pretty neat, right? See below details of these benefits. We recommend calling ahead to any institution you plan on visiting to know exactly how they will honor your membership.

AHS

The American Horticultural Society’s Reciprocal Admissions Program offers free admission and/or additional benefits at more than 345 gardens throughout North America and the Caribbean. This benefit is available to all members.

NARM

NARM is the North American Reciprocal Museum Association, one of the largest reciprocal programs in the world. NARM comprises more than 1,100 arts, cultural, and historical institutions offering reciprocal benefits to NARM members. This benefit is available for Members at the Admit 6 level and above.

ROAM

ROAM is the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums. ROAM consists of 447 participating museums throughout United States and Canada. This benefit is available for Members at the Supporter Level and above and members with a Benefit Package.

Do you love that quiet time of day before the crowds show up, when the birds are out, and the blooms are starting to open? So do we. Join us for Member Mornings! Each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the regular season – we open the gardens for members one hour prior to opening to the general public. No advance registration is necessary.

Members at Heritage receive discounts on most program tickets. When reserving tickets online, please select the member-priced ticket.

For memberships that include one-time-use guest tickets, these are sent via email as well. They can be shared easily with friends and family – simply tap to send!

During the month of your birthday or half-birthday enjoy one $5 off coupon to Lilly’s Café. We’d love to celebrate everyone’s birthday, but we can’t if you don’t share this information with us. Please fill out this form and we’ll get out our party hats.

Members have the opportunity to reserve or purchase Gardens Aglow tickets before the general public. For members with tickets included in your membership, you’ll receive a discount code by email in advance of the ticket launch to redeem for your allotted tickets. This code can also be found on the back of your digital membership card.

Members receive 10% discount at The Shop at Heritage by showing proof of membership.

PURCHASING, RENEWING, GIFTING & UPGRADING

  • Benefit Package upgrade includes two additional regular season guest tickets and two free tickets to Gardens Aglow in 2024.
  • Upgrade your membership by calling the Membership Department or by speaking with our staff during your visit.
  • Renew by one of the following options:
    • Online
    • Onsite – Fill out a form at the Ticket Booth during open hours
    • By phone – Call the Membership Department Monday-Friday, from 9 am-5 pm
  • Early renewals will not lose any time on your membership; membership will be extended one year beyond your current expiration date. In fact, we encourage early renewal so your benefits do not lapse during your renewal cycle.
  • Admission benefits are available as soon as you complete your purchase.
    • Please note, however, that membership cards take roughly two weeks to arrive in your email, which means that access to other member benefits where a card is required, such as NARM and AHS benefits will not be available until after that time.
  • Gift memberships can be purchased either online (by checking the box on the webform under member names), by calling the Membership Department or at the Ticket Booth during regular hours. When completing the online webform you may choose to deliver the membership to the gift recipient. Membership information is sent out weekly, should you want to delay the arrival of the gift membership to a more appropriate date, please contact us.

Membership Policies

  • Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable
  • Memberships are for named adult members (two maximum)
  • A 16-17 year-old can use a membership when they show an ID and their last name and/or address is the same as a named member on the account
  • On each visit, at least one member named on the membership card must be present, and must present a valid ID
  • Admission privileges do not include visits with groups
