Remembering the Revolution Talk and Tour

Did you know that one of the ships destined for the Boston Tea Party wrecked off the coast of Cape Cod? Or that the first naval battle of the American Revolution took place right in Buzzards Bay? Come learn about Cape Cod’s lost revolutionary tales at this presentation on Heritage Museums & Gardens’ new exhibit, Remembering the Revolution. Assistant Curator Lyric Lott will share stories of how Cape Codders experienced and shaped the Revolution, on the Patriot and Loyalist side alike. This program includes a 60-minute presentation, followed by a 30-minute walking tour that includes time outdoors on Heritage’s grounds.

This program will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held fully indoors at the Heald Center inside the J.K. Lilly III Automobile Gallery. Limited spaces are available for this small-group program and advance registration is required.

Consider staying after the program to continue your experience and view the Remembering the Revolution exhibit in the American Art & Carousel Gallery and throughout the Heritage grounds. Admission to Heritage following the program is included with membership. Those who are not members of Heritage may purchase a program registration that includes admission following the program at a discounted rate. Save $8 on your visit!

Program fees fund Heritage’s mission to inspire people of all ages to explore, discover, and learn together. Thank you for your support.
