Heritage Museums & Gardens is the place to be for Halloween fun in the Sandwich community! We are proud to continue our collaboration with our partners from the Sandwich Middle High School to put on a spooktacular (but not too scary) family festival.

This event serves as an important fundraiser for the Sandwich Middle High School (SMHS) Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), the SMHS Junior and Senior Classes, and the SMHS National Art Honor Society. Many activities are led by SMHS student and parent volunteers. Ticket purchases help support:

  • Student scholarships
  • Curriculum enrichment grants
  • Senior Week and Prom student activities
  • National Art Honor Society club activities
  • And more!

Show your support for your community museum and students by joining us for this fun and festive family event! Costumes are optional, but welcome.

Please read carefully – this year’s event has been redesigned to ensure a fun experience for all that meets important fundraising goals and is sustainable for the organizations who rely on volunteer support to make the event happen.

Your admission ticket will include all activities offered, with no need to make additional activity ticket purchases at Heritage. Activities include:

  • Carnival-style games
  • Face painting
  • Temporary tattoos
  • Musical Cakes game
  • Dance party with DJ Ooch (starting at 4:30 pm)
  • Take-home craft
  • Lawn games
  • Giant outdoor building blocks activity
  • Photos on the carousel (rides will not be available)
  • Fire pits
  • Exhibit of antique automobiles
  • Indoor and outdoor photo ops
  • Festive lighting and décor throughout the grounds and galleries
  • Piped Halloween music throughout

*Please note that this event will not include rides on the carousel or a haunted maze.

Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase. Lilly’s Café will be offering Halloween-themed treats, light meals, snacks, and hot and cold drinks.

Program fees support Heritage Museums & Gardens, the SMHS PTSA, the SMHS Junior and Senior Classes, and the SMHS National Art Honor Society. Thank you for your support. Program Registration Fee: Everyone ages three and over: $14; Children 2 and under: Free (Note that it is required to register for tickets for children 2 and under even though there is no charge for the tickets in order to provide an accurate count of event attendance.)

Ticket Purchase Directions

  • To manage the expected high volume of website traffic and to ensure a fair and efficient purchase process, we are implementing a new ticketing system this year.
  • Once you click the link at 8:00 am, you will either have access to the ticketing page or be directed to a waiting room until it is your turn to complete your ticket purchase. Your approximate wait time will be displayed if you are in the waiting room.
  • If you click the link between 7:00 am and the start of ticket sales at 8:00 am, you will be placed in a pre-queue that opens at 7:00 am.
  • Note that once you leave the waiting room for any reason, you will be placed at the end of the queue if you re-enter.
  • All sales will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Access to any part of the ticketing site before checkout does not guarantee tickets, as sales go very quickly.
  • The online system is the only way to purchase tickets. If you call Heritage Museums & Gardens, staff can only assist you using the same system, including queuing and wait times.
  • The number of remaining tickets will be displayed. When the event has sold out, the ability to purchase will be grayed out and deactivated.

Spooky Knights Ticketing, Cancellation, and Refund Policy

  • Advance ticket purchases are required. Online ticket purchases are strongly advised. All timeslots will sell out quickly, and walk-up ticket sales are not guaranteed at the door. All tickets are date and time specific, and attendance is limited to provide a safe, high-quality experience for all. Tickets for this fundraising event are non-refundable, and are only valid for the date and entry time for which they are purchased.

    The Spooky Knights event takes place in all weather conditions. The event has been planned to ensure ample opportunities for fun even in inclement weather! Tickets are non-refundable. A night of the event will only be canceled if a major weather event presents a risk to safety (for example, during severe storms with high winds). Ticket holders should check www.heritagemuseums.org for updated information about any closures. Updates will also be posted to Heritage’s Facebook page, and a message will be recorded on our voicemail, which can be heard by calling 508-888-3300.

    If a night of the event must be canceled due to severe weather or other emergency, ticket holders will be notified of the cancellation via email and will be automatically refunded. Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled due to severe weather or other emergency. We regret that dates canceled due to severe weather or other emergencies are not able to be rescheduled.

Optional paths with crushed shell or woodchipped surfaces are also marked on the map but may not be navigable by all wheelchairs. Complimentary transportation between fixed stops is available for visitors with mobility challenges.
