Get ready for a week of curiosity, creativity, and hands-on discovery! Students will dive into the fascinating world of science through experiments and interactive activities. Through hands-on challenges inspired by storybooks, students will analyze tales to identify real-world problems and design creative solutions. With a dynamic blend of science, teamwork, and creativity, campers will develop critical thinking skills and confidence while exploring the endless possibilities of engineering.

Budding Botanists ~A Week of Plant Adventures

Get ready to dig in and explore the amazing world of plants! In this fun-filled week, students will become budding botanists as they investigate how plants grow, thrive, and shape our world. Through engaging experiments, gardening projects, and exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Heritage’s greenhouses and propagation areas, students will explore plant life cycles, the role of pollinators, and the essential contributions of soil, sunlight, and water.

Eco Explorers ~ Young Environmentalists in Action

Join us for an exciting week of exploration as young environmentalists explore how they can make a difference. Through interactive experiments and nature walks, we’ll learn about ecosystems, renewable energy, and the importance of conservation. Participants will also create eco-friendly crafts and discover the wonders of recycling and upcycling. Together, we’ll grow our understanding of how small actions can lead to significant changes in protecting our environment.

Pollinator Pals ~A Buzzing Week of Discovery

Join us for an exciting week celebrating the incredible world of pollinators! Students will uncover the fascinating lives of bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators through immersive nature walks, engaging scavenger hunts, and hands-on activities. Blending science, art, and outdoor exploration, this program will inspire a deeper appreciation for these essential creatures. Students will also discover fun, practical ways to support pollinators and help them thrive in their local environments.

Lego Program

with Master Builder Cody Wells

2 One-Week Programs: July 20-31

Program Hours from 8:30am-2:30pm

This program is for ages 5-10.

Back by popular demand, this special summer program is hosted by Heritage and is offered as a 5-day program based on student age.

Students will work with Cody Wells of C3Brix (also known as the “Lego Man of NYC”) on Lego builds, challenges, and creative engineering projects.

Throughout the week, students will complete both individual and group challenges while learning new LEGO building techniques and creative strategies. Friendly competition is part of the experience. All students will receive prizes, though the type and amount may vary. Please note that this program takes place primarily indoors.

Summer Enrollment Timeline

2026 Registration will open in two phases:

  • Current Student Priority Registration is March 2 -9: Link sent in Brightwheel messages
    • Students currently attending PreK, K, grade 1, or grade 2 in the 2025-2026 school year
    • Next year’s accepted PreK, K, grade 1 & 2 students with paid tuition deposit
    • Current and Next Year siblings
    • Our current and future students receive a 20% discount on 100Acre programs until March 9
      • Discounts are not applied to the LEGO program.

  • General Public Registration: Opens on TUESDAY, March 10, 2026 @ 10am
    • We will update this website at approximately 11am, 12noon, 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm on March 10 with the program status.
    • Daily updates at 12noon will occur until the program sells out on March 11 and beyond.
    • We anticipate some sessions will sell out quickly.
    • Summer enrollment will end on June 1st, or when the summer program reaches capacity.
      • We do not have a waitlist.


Step 1: Submit a Summer Application & Non-Refundable $250 Deposit

If you do not have a Brightwheel account, one will be created for you during the Application process. DO NOT create an account separate from the application link.

If you register for only one session and it has sold out before your application is reviewed, your non-refundable deposit will be refunded.

Step 2: Pay your summer invoice in full

The 100Acre Admin team will reply via Brightwheel with your summer invoice for electronic payment. This step is not automatic; the admin team will create the invoice for you after reviewing your application.

We do not offer a payment plan; invoices must be paid in full.

We suggest paying the invoice upon receipt. We will not reach out via email or phone if this step is not completed. It is your responsibility to check your Brightwheel account.

All unpaid invoices will be cancelled after 7 days, and your enrollment request will be canceled. We do not refund the deposit if you have changed your mind about enrolling.


We do not take a waitlist, so please check the website in May for last-minute openings.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Hundred Acre School is a PreK-Grade 2 school for the school year. All of our teachers work in the summer and we typically hire 2 -3 additional teaching staff during the summer. Our teachers are adults that have at least a BA in education or a related field. Our summer staff are undergraduate education majors, retired teachers, current public school educators or adults who love kids! All have a background record check with the Department of Early Education and Care. Most are CPR/First Aid Certified.

We do not offer prospective student tours for the summer program.

  • For the Summer Program, we accept student entering grade 2 in the fall 2025 so we do not accept students who just finished grade 2.
  • For Lego Summer program, we accept students up to age 10 regardless of grade.

No, we are only taking children that are age 4 at the time of the program.

No, it is only for children age 5 and older by the first day of the program.

Age guidance is firm. We will not make exceptions for our two age groups for Lego during the month of March or April.

If by chance we have any openings once we get to May, requests will be considered by the school director.

Yes, children should be confidently potty trained (diapers are not allowed) but with that being said, we understand that accidents happen so all children are asked to bring extra clothes.

No, this program is not part of member benefits at this time. Check out the Heritage membership page for the many other member benefits including unlimited admissions to the museums & gardens.

We follow these procedures for all students to keep them healthy:

  1. Snack and lunch are provided by the family
  2. Students do not share or trade food.
  3. Students with food allergies sit at a table with children that do not have those food items in their snack or lunch
  4. Tables are cleaned with multi-surface cleaner.
  5. Placemats are washed after each use
  6. Most staff at the program are CPR and First Aid certified
  7. The Heritage Security Team is also trained to respond to emergencies and will be able to assist staff with emergencies as needed.

We do not limit what children choose to bring for snack or lunch. We do not limit environmental allergens from our classrooms/interactions on the grounds. Children could be exposed to a variety of allergens either in the classroom, on the grounds or in the museums. If your child has a severe allergy (breathing or touching an item), we probably are not a good fit. If your child has an ingestion allergy to a certain medication or food, we probably are a good fit. You are welcome to contact the us to discuss the specifics of your child.

  • We require a medical release with detailed information about an allergy and what steps would need to be followed if something did happen. A form will be sent to you to fill out and bring with your medication.
  • You would provide us with any medications needed to keep him/her safe (i.e. epi-pen).
  • These medications will be kept in the classroom backpack that is taken with the class anytime they leave the school.

Cancellations in March or April will receive a full refund minus the $250 non-refundable deposit.

Cancellations in May will be 50% of your total amount paid minus the $250 non-refundable deposit.

We understand that summer schedules can be unpredictable, and occasional absences may occur. However, our program is staffed and designed with your child’s attendance in mind. Thank you for your understanding, as we are unable to make exceptions to this policy.

Program Non-Refundable Deposit (Submitted with Application Packet)

The program deposit is non-refundable except in cases where your selected week(s) are unavailable at the time of registration.

  • If you requested one week only and it is unavailable, your refund will be issued automatically.
  • If you requested multiple weeks and your enrollment is contingent on attending all requested weeks (all-or-none), you must notify us within 7 days of acceptance to receive a refund and cancel all weeks. After the 7-day window, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

The school has its own entrance and parking lot so it is very convenient for drop off and pick up. Use Google Maps as we have a pin on the school and its the easiest way to find us.

Our program uses the gardens and galleries of Heritage Museums & Gardens daily so we already feel like we go on a field trip everyday. We don’t go on additional field trips off the grounds of Heritage Museums & Gardens.
