TITLE: Kindergarten Lead Teacher

FLSA STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
The Kindergarten Teacher plays a pivotal role in fostering a love of school and learning while balancing the developmental needs and growth of young learners. At our school, we embrace a holistic approach to education, seamlessly intertwining academic rigor with play, hands-on learning, and inquiry-driven experiences that unfold both within the classroom and outdoors throughout the gardens and grounds of Heritage Museums & Gardens.

TITLE: Grade 1 & 2 Teacher (0.5 FTE)
DEPT: The Hundred Acre School
REPORTS TO: Director of The Hundred Acre School
FLSA STATUS: Part-time, Exempt
This co-teaching role will enhance the classroom instruction by integrating the expertise of two educators. Together, the two Grade 1&2 teachers will collaborate to deliver comprehensive instruction for both Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. One teacher will focus on math instruction across both grades, while the other will specialize in literacy instruction. This division of responsibilities ensures targeted and effective teaching in each subject area. With a combined effort, this class of 16 students (anticipated 6 @1st and 10@2nd) will benefit from personalized attention and engaging, hands-on learning opportunities tailored to their individual needs.

We welcome students currently in high school, undergraduate, graduate or doctorate programs who need in classroom experiences as part of their coursework. This could be called an internship, observation hours, student teaching, practicum or community service. We are proud to open our doors to teachers of the future.
