Hours, Admission & Guidelines

Tickets & Admissions

  • Guests may purchase tickets online prior to arrival by clicking here or purchasing at the door upon arrival.
  • Online ticket purchases are strongly encouraged and allow for quick and easy entry; especially on select timed-ticketed event days.
  • Tickets are date-specific and are valid for entry any time between 10am-4:30pm.
  • Tickets are non-refundable. Click here for our ticketing, cancellation, and refund policy.
  • Heritage is open rain or shine so don’t forget to dress for the elements! Heritage will close in the event of severe weather; please click here for more information.
  • To reschedule your visit please contact tickets@heritagemuseums.org or call 508-888-3300, ext. 0 prior to your scheduled visit.
  • Discounts do not apply for select events and programs and cannot be combined with other discounts. To see our discount programs click here.
  • Visitors must be 16 years or older to visit Heritage without an adult.
  • The Adventure Park at Heritage is NOT included with the purchase of a Heritage Museums & Gardens admission; however, those with a receipt dated within seven days of their visit can bring their Heritage ticket to The Adventure Park to receive a discount – to purchase tickets to The Adventure Park at Heritage click here.

While Here

  • We do not have an ATM, but both the cafe and shop accept credit and debit cards.
  • You may bring your own food, water, and soft drinks for a picnic on the grounds. Outdoor seating is first-come, first-served.
  • Restrooms are wheelchair accessible; family restrooms are available in the in the J.K. Lilly III Automobile Gallery, the American Art & Carousel Gallery, and at the café. Portable facilities are also available at the main entrance and near the entrance of Hidden Hollow.
  • Complimentary transportation is available at seven fixed stops throughout the grounds for those with mobility challenges.
  • Photography is permitted for personal, non-commercial use unless noted by staff or signage. See our photography policy for more information.
  • In case of a severe weather occurrence during your visit, please follow staff instructions, for your safety. You may be asked to take shelter until bad weather has safely passed.

Restrictions

  • No pets are allowed unless they are service animals. To review the laws for service animals, please click here.
  • We are a smoke-free property. The use of tobacco or e-cigarettes is prohibited.
  • Heritage does not permit firearms on the property.
  • Heritage has a zero-tolerance policy for verbal or physical harassment, discriminatory or threatening behavior, or interference with the experience of others. We reserve the right to require any person(s) acting inappropriately to leave the grounds.
  • Do not pick living plants or touch objects on exhibit except where permission is indicated.
  • Bicycles, skateboards, hoverboards, and similar equipment are prohibited from the grounds.
  • Visitors are not permitted to bring alcohol onsite; beer and wine may be purchased at our café.
  • The use of tripods or other photography equipment (including drones) is not permitted on the grounds without prior approval. View our full photography policy here.
  • Third-party commercial activity is prohibited on Heritage’s property. To read our policy, click here.
  • Heritage is home to many plants and animals. Should you encounter any wildlife, please keep a safe distance. Do not attempt to touch or feed the animals.

Accessibility for All Visitors

  • Heritage strives to be accessible to visitors of all ages and abilities.
  • We welcome legally registered service animals. For service animal guidelines in Massachusetts, please click here.
  • For those with mobility issues, our main path is paved with moderate hills. A few areas are steeply graded and we have many shell and wood chipped paths that may be manageable with an able-bodied assistant or are located near an ADA transport stop.
  • Complimentary transportation for visitors with mobility challenges is available and can be accessed at seven fixed stops throughout the grounds at benches marked with the International Symbol of Access. Transport makes continuous loops approximately every 20 minutes.
  • Wheelchairs are available for visitors at the ticket booth.
  • Restrooms and the café are wheelchair accessible. We have outdoor and indoor accessible water fountains on the grounds and in gallery spaces.
  • There are spaces reserved for handicapped parking, which are clearly marked.
